Review of The Doors (1991) by Mike K — 01 Sep 2010
Val kilmer looked, sounded and acted great in this movie as jim morrison. well cast well directed and just an all around great movie. stone did a good job of balencing off and on stage transition throughout.
the psychadelic (and high/drunk) behavior and visuals were pretty mind blowing too. the film shows how chaos can simply be avoided by a pill or a drink though the pill or drink may be the cause of the chaos to begin with.
the drugs also shield one from chaos behind a fake coating of drug induced thought (high state of mind). Just an interesting and great movie that will have you loving the band (especially morrison) and will make you think about what music history would be like if morrison didnt die at age 27.
He is one of the greatest artists of the last 60 years. Anyway its a good movie so I reccommend you all check it out.
