Review of The Door in the Floor (2004) by Bruce A — 27 Jun 2004
The best thing about this film is theacting. Everyone is top notch, especially the boy (can't remember his name). However, the situations they are put into are a bit far fetched and strech credibility which hurts the film as a whole.
Although it is quitea depressing film there are moments of great comedy but one quickly forgets about them due to the dark lighting, heavy sighing, glazed stares into nothinginess. It all gets to be too much.
Still the art direction creates a perfect mood for the story and made me feel as if I was right there with the characters.
