Review of The Door in the Floor (2004) by Spencer R — 27 Feb 2005

I can't say this was great... The performances were for sure exceptional, but just the movie itself didn't do shit for me. I thought that it was some sex movie about a family that witnesses a great depressing event, but then the family is screwed up. One thing that got me certainly shocked was one of the opening lines.... "Dad, your penis looks funny." I mean really what the hell? If this is based on the entire book "A widow for one year", it sucked alot. Uneven, sex-driven people. If it is part of the novel, then I think they should of done the entire book because this probably covered some of the worse parts in it.

A word of advice... jerk off in a washroom, not the wife's bedroom with underwear on the bed. Oh, and Jeff Bridges put a good performance in this, and Kim Basinger was okay, but with the weirdness of the film, it made me feel confuzed and wondering why I rented this.
