Strangely, this movie did not get much international attention. Personally, the combination of lots of personal demons, surrealistic hints and the struggle for survival and crashing relationships sent me to cloud 9.
Kim Basinger seems to only get better by the years. The ending left me motionless, starring with a blank look at the screen for minutes on end. Few movies do that to me when they end.
