Review of The Door in the Floor (2004) by Michael A — 22 Dec 2007
Excellent character drama with a terrific sense of inertia which absolutely complements the events depicted. I found this a thoroughly believable drama about the after-effects of a family bereavement and while it was extremely moving much of the time, it was also very funny in places - a bit like life itself.
I'm keen to see more of director Tod Williams' work if this is anything to go by. And all of the principals - Bridges, Basinger, Foster and young Elle Fanning are just perfect.
