Review of The Dogs of War (1980) by Matthew L — 22 Mar 2009
Classic movie displaying the true talent of a young Christopher Walken and Tom Berenger (although hi part could have been larger). From start to finish this movie is filled with action and although it is an older movie (1981), it is still timeless.
I hadn't seen this since I was a kid, but seeing it again I notice it's action sequences are pretty up to date for the time it was made. Fresh from Deer Hunter success, it is almost like Walken carries on his role from that movie to this one.
A young Ed Oneil (Al Bundy fame) was funny to see as well as Paul Freeman (Belloq from Raiders of the Lost Ark fame). Great movie!
