Review of The Doctor Takes a Wife (1940) by Timothy M — 24 Dec 2008
Bogs down in the middle, but still fun. Especially enjoyable to watch the relationship progress. Young almost passes for a feminist, Milland is befuddled, Patrick- annoyingly sweet, and Gwenn the Father-in-Law you always wanted.
Perfect casting. Wish I could duplicate that noise that Milland makes at the end, though.
