Review of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) by P H — 02 Nov 2009
You may never realize how loosely the terms ?from his/her point of view? or ?a look into the life? are used, until at some point in your life you see this work of visual art. Julian Schnabel is a true artist: as his work encompasses more mediums than just film, watching Before Night Falls though I could tell you that simply, but what an amazing feat he has done here.
This is not so much a film, but a truly, unbelievably, and literal view of a man?s life, through his eyes, as he struggles to overcome the trials and tribulations that are now ever present in his life.
A genuinely thought-provoking film with the most serene and beautiful imagery I?ve seen in a while, this is a great piece of exposé art.
