Review of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) by Natalie M — 14 Sep 2009
Excellent film. The creativity of the editing and camera movement to create a specific point of view was extremely intriguing. The story of Jean-Dominique Bauby is one of tragedy, but the film somehow manages to not be a downer.
Mathieu Amalric plays a very difficult role, but he does it extremely well. The story also develops in an interesting way, managing to explain everything necessary without bogging down the story with a bunch of exposition.
Well-done.
