Review of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) by Jane S — 19 Feb 2010
This was a very moving and touching true story about a french journalist left completely paralysed except for the movement of his eye and eyelid. He painstakingly wrote his story by blinking at the correct letter to an assistant who wrote down the words.
Most of the film is shown from his perspective as in through his eyes and his thoughts which he can never verbalise. A powerful albeit slow dramatisation of this truly remarkable story.
