Review of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) by Ty F — 09 Jul 2010
If you love French films about people paralyzed from head to foot except for their eyes, then this is the film for you. Also, if you like heartfelt movies that express the frailty of life and the pains of missed opportunities, lingering regrets and wasted time, oh and if you like hauntingly beautiful cinematography and watching beautiful French women say the French alphabet slowly, then this is definitely the film for you.
I had heard this was a great film for years and put off watching it because the story is so damn sad, but it is actually kind of uplifting. It sure makes me feel bad about sitting around the house all day and doing nothing, and I have use of all of my limbs!
