Schnabel manages to turn the limitations imposed by the very nature of the book into an artistic masterpiece. The collage of videos combined with the viewpoint from which the movie is filmed creates a wistful and eerie air and leaves the viewers emotionally affected.
I highly recommend this beautiful, beautiful adaption of the book.
