This is a very enjoyable film centered around the women's suffrage movement in Switzerland in 1971(!) Although this is a political film, it also emphasizes the individual personalities of both the women and men in a small town in Switzerland, and shows their personal growth.
There is both drama and comedy, and although the ending is generally happy, not all relationships survive - making it more true to life.
