Review of The Divide (2015) by John T — 28 Dec 2016
A film that puts a human face on the sterile phrase "income inequality." This engaging and well-produced film provides a historical context for the descent into poverty of the working class as western nations' economies have transitioned from industrial to low-paying service-based.
Never preachy, instead it focuses on the lives of representative figures from both sides. Viewers are permitted to judge for themselves whether the American dream is still alive.
