Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Scott P — 01 Dec 2017
The Disaster Artist is everything you expect and could want from a movie about the behind the scenes story of both the making of The Room and how it even came to exist, and more. It is an incredibly deft handling of some very unexplainable material and, unfortunately, as someone who lovingly describes the book as something you have to put down repeatedly because the cringe is so strong, watching it in a theater, there is no escape.
It's all there. Everything. From when Greg and Tommy met at the acting class to Greg's mother to the casting of the movie to the Chris R scene to Tommy going ****ing insane... it's all there.
IT's there. It's the book, it's the movie, it's their lives, it's... it's amazing. Watch it.
