You don't have to be familiar with The Room in order to enjoy this, but it helps. Franco takes an inexplicable cult film and expands upon it, creating a surprisingly heartfelt movie about friendship and the lengths some people will go to achieve their dreams.
Franco also manages to deliver a career-high performance, equal parts hilarious and eerie.
