James Franco's "The Disaster Artist" is a fantastic movie that hits all the right comedic and dramatic notes. I was interested the whole way through in this movie and could not take my eyes off of it.
I am glad I have seen "The Room" multiple times in multiple settings because it added much more to the experience. I don't feel it is necessary to have seen Tommy Wiseau's cult classic but I do fully recommend at least having some knowledge of it.
James Franco portrays Wiseau perfectly and nails every scene he is in. All of the casting choices were great and I had a blast seeing everyone. While the movie is a laugh riot, it is also has a very sentimental feel.
There is a great story about friendship and a true message about how success comes in many forms. There is something beautiful and triumphant about how this movie makes you feel after it ends. It blends comedy and drama seamlessly and is one of the absolute best films of 2017.
