Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Dean E — 18 Dec 2017
Well acted, well directed, well received. While not the most original movie (reminded me of Ed Wood), this was a very well done film. The Franco's were great, and as a fan of 'The Room' I thought this was an incredible love letter to the film.
They do a good job of making fun of Tommy Wiseau without it being mean. It's about a man wanting to follow his dream regardless of what other people have to say about it. That being said, if you haven't seen the room, this film might not feel as special to you.
Make sure you at least see the best clips from it prior to seeing 'The Disaster Artist'.
