Once again, hipster critics find a 'darling' (this one bolstered by the hipster love of 'movies so bad they're good' bs) and way the hell overrate and overhype it. This is lame, dumb, marginally acted fodder.
Franco speaks like no Slavic person I've ever heard, and I lived in the midst of such people for years. He sounded like a half retarded southeast Asian man with only a fragmentary grasp of English.
