Following movie news for years now, I had definitely heard about how horrible of a film The Room is. After hearing the hype behind this film, I had to check it out myself, even though I never bother watching The Room.

Nevertheless, I still enjoyed The Disaster Artist a lot. James Franco did an amazing, Oscar-worthy job portraying the infamous Tommy Wiseau, a mysterious man obsessed with becoming something he doesn't have the talent for.

Franco immerses himself in the character flawlessly and has gut-busting humorous scenes throughout the movie. His brother Dave Franco and Seth Rogen also are fantastic throughout the film. The movie is definitely one of the funnier films of the year, however, this movie is elevated to 5-star caliber for me due to the underlying themes of friendship and perseverance that was portrayed perfectly.
