Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Cindy M — 09 Mar 2018
The disaster ARTIST feels something like driving slowly past an auto accident. It's sad knowing it's based on a an episode in tommy Wiseau's life. He's a little pathetic, but if he's happy, more power to him, Now to the review: James Franko is outstanding as Tommy and holds the movie together.
The cast is excellent, understated when needed and in the case of Tommy and Bestie greg he tames what could have been a shallow, creepy relationship. Seth Rogan is subtle and perfect as he tries to take Tommy and his awful movie seriously.
james Franco deserves to be celebrated as an actor and director, not vilified because of unfounded allegations.
