This is a pretty funny movie-about-making-a-movie which focuses on the friendship between Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero. Tommy is an enigma who wrote, directed, produced and financed 'The Room', a famously bad movie that's become a cult classic and Greg is one of the stars of the film.
Their friendship began before they made a film together and the making of the film put a strain on their bond which they seem to have weathered. This buddy film aspect of 'The Disaster Artist' is underdeveloped but it's still funny and insightful in other ways.
