Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Garc9517 — 18 Mar 2018
After some much-needed reflection, I've come to the conclusion that this film adaptation was kind of crappy. Even though I finished Greg Sestero's book way after I had seen this movie, I had a strong feeling that it would be more entertaining and include some meatier backstory.
I was right. I'll give some kudos to Dave Franco for his portrayal of Greg Sestero, but I couldn't stand James in this role. The entire time, it felt like he was making a mockery out of Tommy, but I will give him some credit.
The way he portrayed Tommy Wiseau's behavior on the set of The Room was 100% accurate. I wish James Franco nothing but good luck in future projects.
