Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Kaustav — 07 Jan 2018
'Lotus out of a muddy pond.' The Room was a horrendous and wacky at best sorta movie and somehow The Disaster Artist managed to portray just that and add something.
It is really enjoyable and "WTH!" throughout and perhaps, with a guy as weird as Wiseau to be portrayed, it could be nothing but. It obviously doesn't humanize a East-European vampire but it makes glides through with a grin.
While The Room is a cult masterpiece in failure, TDA is a success in art of autobiography. Hats off to Franco brothers, other members of the cast and cameos of Franco bandwagon and friends.
