Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Jeff C — 12 Dec 2017

So I haven't seen what many dub the worst movie of all time "The Room," and I've seen enough clips of it now to pretty much agree it's a crazy awful movie. So I now understand why the Franco boys did a movie about the making of The Room and this one is called "The Disaster Artist.

" James nails his spoof of Tommy the guy who made this mess in the first place, and younger brother Dave picks up the rest of the pieces. What is good about this movie is that while Seth Rogen is in it, there aren't dumb repeated jokes like in most of the recent movies he has made.

There's some pretty funny and strange stuff going on here, and quite frankly it might just be too dumb for some. However, I'm into dumb stuff done in a smart way (if that is possible), so this one is worth seeing.

I do not think it's end of the year award worthy, but we all know how much Hollywood likes looking at itself in the mirror, so be prepared to see this thing around during awards season.
