Review of The Disaster Artist (2017) by Skylar R — 31 Dec 2017
When people say this film is completely hilarious from beginning to end, they're not exaggerating. As someone who has seen "The Room" countless times, I was skeptical when I went in, but James Franco dominated and dazzled as the great Tommy Wiseau throughout the entire movie without a single weak scene.
This is one of the funniest movies I've seen in quite a long time, and the precision it features in terms of shot-to-shot comparisons with the original movie is enough to see the passion and fanatical level of dedication which went into this movie.
Franco and Franco as Wiseau and Sestero are remarkably dynamic. Eccentricity at it's zaniest and most abstract.
