Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Troy D — 28 Aug 2010
It has the all requisite elements for an effective thriller great casting, plenty of effective plot twists, a claustrophobic setting and a smart script. You have to have a femme fatale in a movie like this Gemma Arterton's performance is very good and it doesn't hurt that she is very easy on the eyes.
My one gripe would be that it gets a little drawn out towards the end but it doesn't change the fact that this little import for the UK doesn't disappoint.
