What a well crafted little film this one is. Very small cast - who are all great by the way. The setup for this at the beginning is very well done as there is no dialogue for at least the first 6 or 7 mins.
It contains alot of twists and turns and double crosses. We have 2 kidnappers where at least one of them is gay. The girl they kidnap has been disowned by her father. Danny, the younger of the two kidnappers is having second thoughts at the start but by the end, Vic, the older one is having the second thoughts.
Gemma Arterton is a real looker. I'd only seen her in "'Quantum of Solace'' the last bond film. Eddie marsan played the police inspector in Sherlock Holmes. All in all a very good neo-noir treat by a first time film - maker who I will look out for in the future.
