Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Chris D — 12 Sep 2010

I really enjoyed this film. It had style, flowed well and moved at a rapid enough pace for the viewer to sustain interest. It was incredibly anomalistic, relying almost solely on the efforts of the cast and the cinematographer.

The characters were believable and easily evoked sympathy from the audience. The story was also interesting, with many twists presented as the story developed. Some of the twists will be obvious to the movie buff but majority of the audience seemed to be pleasantly supervised when the twists came to light.

All in all this is a great British film and is sure to be enjoyed by those who prefer a movie with story and suspense rather than whiz-bang special effects.
