Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Harry F — 13 Oct 2010
I was massively disappointed by this film. The main problem I'd say is the script. If your going to have a film starring jus three film and having minimal locations, you need a great script. This film just fails to deliver.
The acting is good, if annoying. Gemma Arterton spends the entire film screaming, which does start to get annoying. The plot twists are a bit eccentric, although tyere less predictable than a few moments in this.
Another big flaw is lack of character development. Maybe its delibarate, I don't know, but I didn't have much reason to care about any of the characters. This was in general a fairly boring and underwritten film.
