Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Dan H — 08 Dec 2010
A taut British thriller, with plenty of surprises. A compact set-up of just three characters and, for the most part, one set, gives this a flavour of a stage play, and also puts big demands on the actors.
All three play their parts flawlessly. My only criticism is that the third act of the story becomes slightly more predictable than the rest of it, once the main revelations have unfolded. However, it does conclude very satisfyingly.
