Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Lee B — 10 Jan 2011

This was a very interesting movie in terms of style by look, style by limitation and development of story. Something that cannot be said of many movies these days, this movie kept my interest throughout the entire thing. And, all three performances are superb. I didn?t think the girl could act at all before this movie (I only saw James bond, the Guy Ritchie one and Prince of Persia), and the two guys were a revelation to me. All with a great script for action and dialogue.

This movie was made with an intention to be a game that plays with your nerves. And it works. From the small detail points to the big movements here and there, I do recommend people check this out, it?s better than any Guy Ritchie, Joe Carnahan or other somewhat established chaotic action director ? but this isn?t an action movie. A chaotic thriller that enthralls throughout.
