My my my. This UK thriller doesn't waste any time. Right from the get go, the suspense builds in an old-fashioned sense, but in a faithful manner to cinematography. With only body language, expression, and music, rookie director J Blakeson knows what he wants and makes himself look like a veteran.
His courageous act of keeping the movie tight with only 3 characters throughout the whole movie keeps the suspense and leads to an even bigger picture as the movie progresses. The movie holds your indefinite attention in the first act as you're figuring out what's going on with a willful mind, though loses its tension as the story begins to unravel.
Do not mistake this as a downfall, as Blakeson did not. Without revealing too much, I can almost guarantee the story will continue to compel you. I do think on the other hand that this movie could've been much less obscene with the nudity (no sex).
It's obvious that Blakeson wants it to be and feel real to its audience, but all in all it was unnecessary and could've been done tastefully without it. If you decide to watch this movie, I can guarantee there's at least one big surprise in store for you, lol.
