Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Peter A — 15 Apr 2011
Superb British indie full of suspense and twists and turns. Two men think they have committed the perfect crime in kidnapping a young girl from her rich father. However not all goes to plan and the balance of power soon shifts.
Gemma Arterton is brilliant as Alice and I would like to see her in more roles like this rather than Prince of Persia bollocks. Great direction as well from Blakeson as he keeps the tension high and reveals just enough to keep you interested.
