Review of The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009) by Jwasu R — 19 Feb 2012
This is a good low budget British (or Manx) thriller - only three people in the cast, and shot mostly in one small flat - but there are plenty of surprises in this film about a kidnapping that goes wrong (don't they always?).
The 18 rating is well-deserved as there is a lot of bad language and rather disturbing violence, but there are some moments of black comedy too. I've seen this film twice, and even without the surprise I enjoyed the second viewing because of the strong acting and changing relationships between the characters.
