Review of The Dirty Dozen (1967) by Ratnakar S — 10 Aug 2010
The quintessential Guy's movie. Lee Marvin, playing the tough as nails Major, who has the unenviable task of training a group of 12 prisoners, one of whom is a psychotic, another a religious fanatic, and then sending them on a suicidal mission during the War.
Kick Ass stuff, with some superb scenes involving the training, the ego clashes between the major and the prisoners, and terrific performances by Lee Marvin( first rate), John Cassavettes( brilliant), Jim Brown, Ernest Borgine, George Kennedy and Charles Bronson.
