Review of The Dilemma (2011) by Aaron B — 09 Aug 2011
Ron Howard is at fault on this movie. he couldn't figure out wether or not he wanted to time it as a comedy or a drama, and what we end up with is a movie that is afraid to be either.
The main weight of the film is put onto Vince Vaughns very capable shoulders, and he does a great job. As does the entire cast. I can recommend it for this, because I think there is enough story to get a person interested. However, the dramatic scenes are a bit too heavy weighing down what comedy is here.
A decent movie that had everything it needed to be great.
