Review of The Dilemma (2011) by John D — 13 Aug 2011
The Dilemma represents Ron Howard's first comedic outing on the big screen that I can remember, and it doesn't work...really. Yes, there are funny moments and the cast is good enough, but this movie straddles the fence between seriousness as a drama and outright comedy when it should have decided to more clearly pursue one or the other.
In this sense it kind of reminded me of Funny People, except not quite as extreme. That's not a good thing.
