Review of The Dilemma (2011) by Timothy H — 31 Mar 2015
With a great cast that relies on the personalities and bonding between Vaughn and James, the film works for a good portion and then there are times it falls flat. With an odd and sometimes uneven mixture of silly comedy and serious heartfelt drama, the film works due to Vaughn's character and the dilemma he's facing.
Although it would have benefitted from a leaner running time and tighter script, it walks away mostly unscathed. Plus in one of his first appearances with actual comedic material, Channing Tatum is a scene stealer, even with Vince Vaughn sharing the screen.
