Review of The Dictator (2012) by Brandon V — 25 Nov 2012
Sacha Baron Cohen has yet again showed us that his shtick can be funny, but it's not nearly as funny as it should be and the film's political agenda is too heavy-handed to mesh with the most out-there, silly gags.
Jason Mantzoukas is probably the best thing here; he's hilarious and steals every scene he's in. He really is the only bright spot though... there's one scene involving a woman giving birth and Cohen's character heping that might be the most unfunny thing I've ever seen.
