Cohen's jokes can't rise above the inherent racism and misogyny of his erstwhile badguy-turns-goodguy character. Cohen's liberalism is blind to the hypocrisy of most Eurocentric portrayals of anti-imperialistic struggles for liberation.
His solipsistic vision can't transcend the parasitic desires and passive-aggressive exploitation of his audience.
