Review of The Dictator (2012) by Ching T — 07 Oct 2013
I somehow weathered through Bruno even though there were TOO many scenes that were just painfully uncomfortable to watch. The Dictator unfortunately was outrageously underwhelming and it was the long bouts of boredom in between the too few funny jokes that would have caused me too soon several times.
All the best hilarious moments were montaged in the trailer. What a waste of talent in Sir Ben Kingsley in this movie, although the surprise unbilled appearance of John C Reilly was a delight. Cohen is at his best when he's playing Ali G in Borat, but unfortunately he's too famous to pull that off anymore.
