I'll go ahead and give this a ONE star now based on an intelligent friend's review that follows:

"Just saw "Diary of a Teenage Girl." Do not be seduced by"critics" who love this film's "frankness." It is a vile piece of garbage that depicts statutory rape bordering on kiddie porn, at least one pedophile male figure who deserves his place in Hell, a mother so irresponsible she deserves the same and, to top it all off: close ups of our 15-year old protag staring with fascination at her own vaginal blood shortly after losing her virginity. There is nothing in this that serves the story in any meaningful way. Listening to such brilliant VO like "I need to get fucked now" (paraphrase) by our 15-year old is not entertaining or enlightening or insightful. It's just creepy. This is the only film I've ever walked out on.".
