Review of The Devil's Rejects (2005) by Austin D — 24 Mar 2013
Weather you like him or not, you can't deny that Rob Zombie is one of the more distinctive cinematic auteurs of our time. Simply put, nobody does grimy and sadistic quite like him. And in an almost "Texas Chainsaw" like manner, Zombie brings us "The Devils Rejects" one of the most gleeful vile and utterly nasty peices of cinema you're likely to ever see.
.. And that's what's so great about it. Despite some stingingly stupid moments in the middle half (one involving a film critic and another involving a chicken salesman to give examples), Zombie packs a huge cinematic punch with this film.
Nothing is held back, and no one is safe.
