Review of The Devil's Rejects (2005) by Andrew B — 03 Dec 2015
As far as horror sequels go, this is one of the better ones I can think of, at least as far as building on the quality of the original. Zombie's exploration of depravity is sickening and enthralling all at the same time, and the sarcastic reversal on cinematic moral convention he uses with this film is an effective and compelling one.
Also, I love the obvious homages he uses to Sam Peckinpah and other classic films.
