Review of The Devil's Own (1997) by James W — 24 Feb 2008
As an Irishman, its hard for me to comment on this film, because of the emotional and political stance it hold with me... So, I'll try to only comment on the film itself. It wasn't a bad film, but it wasn't a great one either! The actors all did a great job, but the story line and script could have been better.
.. (the director was obviously Irish) but I thought the film did help show the irrationality of that kind of a fight, and how you cant make sense of it, that you cant justify it, on either side... because you cant justify the killing of another man, nor should you.
I thought the film did a good job showing that.
