Review of The Devil's Own (1997) by Mike T — 20 Jan 2008

Could have been an interesting metaphor about the struggle for an Irish Republic.

Only problem is that the Republican dies, the crooked cop who is also an American (British if you want to get metaphorical) Irish guy "wins" and the movie ends with him steering the ship they were fighting on to safety (again with the metaphors).

Unfortunately I fear the underlying message of this movie sucks despite some pretty priceless moments.

In general; accents, storyline and cheesy ending all could have used some help.
