Review of The Devil's Double (2011) by Matt S — 11 Sep 2011
Damn good "based on a true story" piece that should have gotten a wider release than it did. Dominic Cooper does a fantastic job juggling both main characters' roles quite effectively. Perhaps even good enough to garner up an Independent Spirit Award nomination down the line.
Decent to good action in several parts of the flick. Some very, very disturbing scenes involving rape...but needed to show what a complete fuckin douche the "Black Prince" Uday Hussein was. This one is more for a select type of audience.
Still playing @ arthouses around the country (Bijou in S.A.). Should be worth a rent for quite a few come holiday time.
