Review of The Devil's Double (2011) by Jowana B — 02 Feb 2012
Dominic Cooper is not nominated for best lead actor in the upcoming Oscars and nor is he figuring in other recognition bodies. I like to think the organizers have not seen The Devilâ(TM)s Double because their judgments are quite baffling considering his incredible performance. The title pertains to Uday Hussein, the spoiled brat son of former Iraqi strongman Saddam and Latif Yahia, his body double. Cooper convincingly played both characters, one, a mean sex-crazed son of a b*tch and the other, an ordinary man trapped in extraordinary circumstances.
RATING: A-.
