Review of The Devil's Double (2011) by Nynews — 07 Aug 2011
Saw this movie at Sundance, very dark and disturbing. Dominic Cooper is amazing playing both roles, portraying Uday Hussein as an Iraqi Tony Montana with Boratesque moments. Lee Tamahori does a fantastic job directing this film, the torture scenes are enough to give you nightmares.
This movie is not for the weak of heart (or stomach) but bring home the incredible brutality that has occured in Iraq. Realize the movie is loosely based on Uday Hussein and it does not follow exact events, but the point of Udays sadistic and violent reign in Iraq is brought to a new level.
